Wildfire Disaster Funding Act Support Letter – Partner Caucus On Fire Suppression Funding Solutions

Dear Partners, Our Wildfire Disaster Funding Bill Support Letter finally came to a close last Friday with an impressive160 groups from our various sectors supporting an important piece of legislation (S. 1875 and H.R. 3992). Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge will be conducting a series of prescribed fires beginning February 26 through June 14, 2013

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge will be conducting a series of prescribed fires beginning February 26 and continuing through June 14. The Refuge is continuing a proactive land management approach by using fire as a management tool. The 2013 goal of treating approximately 6,500 acres will reduce the future possibility of wildfires while enhancing critical wildlife habitat and restoring native grassland processes.
